Ranjan Ghosh, born in a musical family, Calcutta, (presently Kolkata), India, makes a very rare combination, having academic qualifications, as well as proficiency in performance and teaching, both in Indian Classical Music and Western Classical Music on Violin, bridging these widely different forms of music.

Education : Master of Arts in Music (Indian Classical Music) on violin, from Rabindra Bharati University, Calcutta.
Western Classical Music, Grade 8 Violin, from The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, London.
Associate Violin (ATCL Violin) from the Trinity College of Music, London.

Training : Receiving training in Indian Classical Music, on violin from his father, Maestro Rabin Ghosh. Prof. Rabin Ghosh is the disciple of Ustad Baba Alauddin Khan Sahib, associated as Lecturer in Rabindra Bharati University, Calcutta, India, for teaching Indian Classical Music on violin.
